Lita Rossana Ford was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer and songwriter. In the late 70s she played as the lead guitar for the hard-rocking All-girl group The Runaways. The group wasn't popular in their home country of the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. After the band split in 1979 Ford embarked upon a successful solo career with heavy metal. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her album Out for Blood. Ford did not achieve much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for an entire decade. In 1988, Ford returned to the world of music with an amazing album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her biggest hit songs. However, her success was only temporary and she was absent from the world of music for several decades. The release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen-year delay for the album 'Wicked Wonderland. In 2016, she released her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
