Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. The Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are among the many accolades she has been awarded. She was also nominated for an Academy Award. Andra isn't only an old-fashioned R&B artist, but also a gospel singer. Her blues and jazz can be heard in a style that's effortless and elegant. Her first album Cheers To The Autumn (2015) was a smash success in the genre of R&B/hiphop which earned her a variety of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017), her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack was awarded both of these awards. Amen (2019), Take Your Troubles Gone Away (2021) and the Golden Globe award-winning portrayal as Billie Holiday for The United States against. Billie Holiday (2017) have helped build anticipation. Andra Day is the daughter of Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts and sang at the Church. She switched her attention from modern R&B to pop following her graduation and was later attracted back to the jazz and soul singers that she had listened to as a child. Kai Millard Morris recorded a show of Day, and later gave her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's material. Motown famous Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day's YouTube fan base grew fast after she formed a team along with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. Day ultimately got a major label contract in partnership with Warner Bros. This song was immediately heard on radio by many DJs. She subsequently joined Warner Bros. Records and began work with the producer Adrian Gurvitz on her debut album, Cheers to the Fall (2015). It featured the track Rise Up that became an iconic song of social justice campaigns worldwide. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations for the album including Best R&B Album. The album was came out with The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, A concept album about the life and work of the jazz icon Billie Holiday. The same year, she was a part-time actress in a biopic about Holiday's life The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Mattichak was an American actor. She made her television debut in series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut with Allyson Nelson in the horror film series Halloween and its sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts.
