Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in the television screen as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry relocated to New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California and she was able to find theatre work. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie together with her in 2015. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, she starred in a recurring role on The ABC Political thriller Scandal starring her father. The same year, she portrayed a child model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a younger version. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong family connection to the character.
